Hijra community recognized as third gender

বাংলাদেশ সরকার 'তৃতীয়' লিঙ্গ, 'হিজরা' হিসাবে স্বীকৃতি অনুমোদন করেছে, যা তাদের পাসপোর্ট এবং অন্যান্য পরিচয়পত্রে নিবন্ধনের অনুমতি দেয়। এই নতুন বিভাগটি শিক্ষা এবং স্বাস্থ্যে লিঙ্গ বৈষম্য কমানোর লক্ষ্য রাখে। বাংলাদেশে হিজরার সংখ্যা প্রায় ১০,০০০ বলে অনুমান করা হয়। ভারত এবং পাকিস্তানেও অনুরূপ স্বীকৃতি বিদ্যমান।
