Rainbow Railroad aide les personnes LGBTQI+ à risque à se mettre en sécurité grâce à la relocalisation d'urgence, à la réponse aux crises, à l'aide financière et à d'autres formes de soutien. Depuis sa fondation en 2006, elle a aidé plus de 45 000 personnes LGBTQI+ à trouver la sécurité. L'organisation est un organisme de bienfaisance enregistré aux États-Unis et au Canada.
