Court allows gender marker change without surgery

एक ताइवानी ट्रांस महिला ने सर्जरी के बिना अपना लिंग चिह्न बदलने की अनुमति देने वाला मुकदमा जीत लिया। ताइपे उच्च प्रशासनिक न्यायालय ने फैसला सुनाया कि 2008 का आंतरिक मंत्रालय का ज्ञापन जिसमें सर्जरी और मानसिक स्वास्थ्य मूल्यांकन की आवश्यकता थी, असंवैधानिक था। यह ताइवान में ऐसा पांचवां मामला है, और वकालत समूह व्यापक कानूनी सुधारों की मांग कर रहे हैं।
