Queensland introduces new legal framework for transgender and gender diverse people

क्वींसलैंड में 24 जून 2024 को जन्म, मृत्यु और विवाह पंजीकरण अधिनियम 2023 लागू हुआ, जो ट्रांस और लिंग विविध लोगों की कानूनी मान्यता के लिए एक नया ढांचा स्थापित करता है। यह 16 वर्ष और उससे अधिक आयु के व्यक्तियों को लिंग रिकॉर्ड में बदलाव के लिए सीधे रजिस्ट्री में आवेदन करने की अनुमति देता है, जबकि 12 से 15 वर्ष की आयु के बच्चे कानूनी सहायता वित्त पोषण उपलब्ध होने पर बाल न्यायालय के माध्यम से आवेदन कर सकते हैं। इस ढांचे का उद्देश्य क्वींसलैंड के ट्रांस और लिंग विविध लोगों के लिए कानूनी मान्यता को मजबूत करना है।
