Self-identification for gender on birth certificates introduced
La Nuova Zelanda ha introdotto un processo di autoidentificazione per cambiare il sesso/genere sui certificati di nascita, in vigore dal 15 giugno 2023, sostituendo il precedente requisito di domanda al Tribunale di famiglia. I richiedenti non devono più dimostrare trattamenti medici e possono fare domanda direttamente al Registro Generale tramite dichiarazione giurata. Questo cambiamento fa parte del Births, Deaths, Marriages and Relationships Registration Act 2021.
