IDHEAS is een non-profit burgervereniging gespecialiseerd in strategische juridische procedures op het gebied van mensenrechten, documentatie en juridische begeleiding van slachtoffers van ernstige mensenrechtenschendingen. Het biedt juridische ondersteuning aan families van vermisten en pleit voor gerechtigheid, ook in zaken waarbij trans personen betrokken zijn. De organisatie verzorgt ook trainingen voor rechters en produceert rapporten en documentaires.
