Transgender District
Het Transgender District is het eerste wettelijk erkende transgender district ter wereld, opgericht in 2017 door drie zwarte trans vrouwen. Het omvat zes blokken in het zuidoostelijke Tenderloin en twee blokken van 6th Street in San Francisco, en behoudt en viert transgender geschiedenis en cultuur. Het district biedt gemeenschapsruimte, belangenbehartiging en ondersteuning, waaronder de lancering van het Riot Fund om financieringskloven aan te pakken en financiële stabiliteit op te bouwen voor trans-geleide organisaties.
