Equite Sri Lanka is a nonprofit trust established in May 2017 by human rights activists. It conducts advocacy, research, and training to promote legal amendments and policy changes to protect the rights of the LGBTIQ+ community in Sri Lanka. The organization works to decriminalize same-sex relationships and secure recognition of LGBTIQ+ rights in employment, housing, healthcare, education, and access to public services.
