Friends of Diversity
Friends of Diversity is a youth-led non-governmental organization in Botswana that supports LGBTQ+ youth through digital well-being, peer support groups, mental health and counseling. The organization empowers, educates, and advocates for the rights and wellbeing of underrepresented communities, particularly LGBTIQ+ individuals, focusing on mental health, sexual and reproductive health, climate resilience, digital wellbeing, online safety, and emerging technology issues. It also works on legal reform, including amending the Birth and Death Registration Act to recognize trans and intersex people in Botswana.
