Fundación Ecuatoriana Equidad
Fundación Ecuatoriana Equidad was created on October 10, 2000, to protect the Ecuadorian LGBTI+ community following the decriminalization of homosexuality. For over 24 years, it has worked with public and private institutions to defend, support, educate, and protect the community, focusing on social and political advocacy for human rights and sexual health education, particularly HIV/AIDS prevention. The organization aims to reduce prejudice and stereotypes related to sexual orientation, gender identity, health status, and human mobility through communication, prevention, empowerment, citizen participation, and research.
