Gay and Lesbian Memory in Action (GALA)

GALA is a queer archive that produces, preserves, and disseminates information about the history, culture, and contemporary experiences of LGBTQIA+ people in South Africa. It works toward social justice and human rights, aiming to increase awareness about LGBTQIA+ lives for an inclusive society. Its primary focus includes preserving LGBTQIA+ narratives, promoting social equality, inclusive education, and youth development.
