Transgender Assistance Program of Virginia
The Transgender Assistance Program of Virginia (TAP VA) is an all-volunteer, trans-led nonprofit in Hampton Roads, Virginia, focused on combating homelessness among transgender adults. It provides emergency housing assistance, connects clients with local services, and offers educational training to organizations. TAP VA also operates Karen's Closet, a free clothing and personal care items service for the trans community, and hosts the Trans Life Anthology storytelling project.
