Varta Trust promotes dialogue on gender and sexuality in India through publishing, public events, research, advocacy, training and services referrals. It runs a resource centre for queer-trans communities in Greater Kolkata offering training, community outreach, public health and social security services, and a drop-in centre with a library and helpline. The organization also provides a webzine and queer-friendly resource directories.
