UK makes puberty blockers ban for under-18s indefinite

The UK government has made indefinite a ban on the sale and supply of puberty blockers for under-18s, following advice from the Commission on Human Medicines and the Cass Review. The ban, initially temporary in May 2024, will be reviewed in 2027. NHS patients already receiving these medicines can continue, and a clinical trial is planned to establish evidence.
