Iraq parliament bans biological sex change and criminalizes same-sex relations

2024年4月，伊拉克议会通过了《反卖淫和同性恋法》，修正了1988年的反卖淫法。该法将同性性行为定为犯罪，最高可判处15年监禁，对宣传同性恋行为处以监禁，并将“生理性别改变”和性别肯定手术定为犯罪。它还规定“故意”表现得像女性的男性为犯罪。该法明确针对跨性别者，自2024年5月起生效。
