Israel allows transgender people to remove previous name from identity documents

以色列内政部修订了身份证件规定，允许已完成性别重置的跨性别者从其身份证件中删除曾用名或“旧名”。此前，一名跨性别女性向高等法院请愿，认为保留曾用名会通过暴露身份而侵犯隐私。法院表示，如果个人要求，不再有法律理由在身份证上保留曾用名。该修正案被视为迈向跨性别群体平等权利的一步。
