Self-identification for gender on birth certificates introduced

新西兰引入了通过自我声明更改出生证明上性别/性别的程序，自2023年6月15日起生效，取代了之前需要向家庭法院申请的要求。申请人不再需要证明接受过医疗治疗，可以直接通过法定声明向登记总署申请。这一变更是《2021年出生、死亡、婚姻和关系登记法》的一部分。
